Provide administrative support to the Rehabilitation and Reintegration function Full time role based in Acacia prison

About You

You are a passionate, highly organised and confident individual that will be comfortable with daily interactions with prisoners and custodial staff. You will have strong administrative, keyboard and word processing skills. You can operate independently and/or with limited supervision and be flexible to assist and support all areas of the Rehabilitation and Reintegration functions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Manager you will assist in providing administrative functions relevant to the rehabilitation and reintegration teams and support in the facilitation of research to inform the ongoing development and delivery of an evidence-based rehabilitation and reintegration model at Acacia Prison.

You will be responsible for taking minutes for meetings associated, supporting administrative functions and developing administrative systems with Rehabilitation and Reintegration teams. You will provide administration to Chaplaincy services, complete IT forms and process as well as undertaking tasks such as applying for security clearances, managing external room bookings in relevant RR areas and collating information across the seven Rehabilitation and Reintegration service units.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable
  • Experience in administration and report writing
  • Experience using MS office to prepare high quality written documentation
  • Exposure to the Criminal Justice System or similar human services
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (desirable)
