We have an exciting opportunity within our Life Sciences Division – for a Global Supply Chain Manager to join the Team!

We make promises to our customers, and we’ll make promises to you too. What do the Key Responsibilities of this role include?

Responsible for managing operational performance as defined by customer contract and KPIs

Responsible for managing the engagement with global depots and the customer’s local in-country teams; any issues/complaints to be escalated to the 3PL Depot Manager

Build a strong working relationship with warehouse service providers to support the success of the Supply Chain. Apprehend their business strengths, weaknesses, capabilities and future opportunities.

Responsible for running monthly supplier reviews & preparing necessary data to facilitate performance reviews

Work closely with Control Tower Procurement manager when running RFQs and warehouse buying activities, ensuring agreed deliverables are met.

Conduct contract negotiations on behalf of the customer with all 3PL leads. Ensure that formal reviews are carried out in line with organizational expectations, both commercial and contractual (SLA/KPI)

Support the customer with the implementation of any new Supply Chain initiatives and record any financial implications.

Work closely with the Global Logistics Manager, Finance Manager & Procurement Manager to ensure that all necessary service changes and or improvements are implemented effectively

Create a culture of continuous improvement within warehousing to ensure cost down targets are met / exceeded.

Knowledge of Lifesciences supply chain, transport and warehousing

Knowledge of Budget Management and Cost Management

Knowledge of European Freight Road Network, Global Ocean and Airfreight networks

Experience in operating Transport Management Systems

People Management and Development Planning

Understanding of cultural influences on decision making and stakeholder management

Vocational Qualifications in Import/Export Procedures

Transport Operations Qualification (CPC National/International)
