We have an exciting opportunity within our Life Sciences division for a Global Logistics Manager to join the team! DHL Control Tower solution is a neutral entity that manages transport & freight operations, that provides the customer with transparency and visibility in all aspects of its logistics operation.

What do the Key Responsibilities of this role include?

Responsible for the work load planning and line management responsibility of the Planning team covering multiple time zones and ensuring adequate resource levels at all times to meet customers’ requirements.

Ensure service compliance of the planning of Multi-Model transport flows of inbound product movements across both local and International Borders

The role will require the provision of daily, weekly & monthly service and cost data that demonstrates service and financial compliance against defined targets.

Hold financial responsibility for defined freight and logistics movement that ensures delivery of core financial measures

The creation and alignment with the financial manager and general manager for the construction of budgetary reviews / requirements and support of supplier rate management.

Key financial Logistics cost evaluation against expected rates and working closely with Procurement specialists, ensuring efficient and effective cost management on behalf of both customer and DHL business.

Managing in conjunction with the Global Supply Chain Manager service delivery programmes that adhere to the required KPI and service measures.

Commercial and business review contributions

Supplier engagement defining and reviewing service metrics and alignment of improvement programmes and delivery against the defined efficiency targets.

Ensure data and information is effectively evaluated & provided to support customer engagement and in support of service and KPI delivery expectations.

Understanding of Lifesciences and Healthcare industry and Global Logistics market

Knowledge of change control and implementation process and regulatory requirements

Understanding of Multi-Modal Freight Movements & Customs Requirements.

Carrier Management and supplier improvement programmes.

Understanding of Transport Management Systems /Customs Process

Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional Vocational Qualifications in Transport Planning / International CPC

Customs base level NVQ or equivalent

Vocational Qualifications in Import/Export Procedures Aviation Security

Transport Operations Qualification (CPC National/International)
