Branch Manager – Refrigeration Job at TWVA Recruitment – Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

To support and follow instruction from the board of directors and/or their designate, to learn and apply such skills as are required in this position. These will include the application of such functions to position the branch positively within the marketplace, to contribute towards the control of the debtors and creditors, as well as the supervision of the installation and service department discipline. To positively contribute to the growth and profitability of the branch.

The supervision of time management of staff, ensuring staff are at work or at site timeously and controlling the discipline of time management and control.

To ensure the management of materials and equipment discipline by the technical managers. The application of discipline of van stock and materials control by the service manager. Supervising the calculating and assessing of projects and scope of works in respect of bills of materials and the control thereof by the installation manager.

The management and supervision of the technical managers including the installation manager & service manager including the support & assessment of their department and functions. Ensuring that they perform the necessary planning, streamlining and control of sites and projects both in and out of the workshop.

To assess and contribute to the control of debtors and the collection of funds as owed to the company relevant to the branch.

The control and management of staff discipline, applying the policies and rules of the company.

Attending and or hosting meetings with staff, suppliers or customers as may be required, and representing the interests of the business and branch at all times.

To protect the interests of the branch and the company. Positively contribute to the growth and productivity of the company. To bring opportunities to the knowledge of the board of directors that could lead to new clients and projects.

To submit reports and updates on all relevant issues arising, including marketing opportunities, productivity and profitability reports to the applicable managers and directors.

To apply and supervise branch sales functions such as engineering, costing, calculations, generation of quotations, generation of reports and or any other procedural events as may be required in the application of such duties.

To conduct the relevant discipline of the premises. To ensure that the premises is locked and secure when closed for business and to ensure that there remains access control only to authorized personnel during trading hours or when opening up after hours in an emergency.

Requirements:

  • Valid code B driver’s license
  • Fluent in English (read & write)
  • 3-4 years senior management experience within service or manufacturing related industries.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as and when required.
