Accounts Assistant Job at SimoTech – Cork, County Cork

SimoTech is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the daily operation of our finance department with business accounting activities.
The Accounts Assistant’s responsibilities will include raising, sending, paying invoices, reconciling company accounts, maintenance of the company timesheet system.
The Accounts Assistant will assist with the preparation of various internal reports and should be on-hand to answer queries raised by staff or external clients or suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice processing (Sales and Purchases Invoices).
  • Issue sales invoices to customers including entry of invoices to customer invoicing portals as required.
  • Review of monthly employee and contractor timesheets for accuracy.
  • Support the maintenance of the company purchases and sales ledgers.
  • Prepare bulk bank payment files for manager approval and issue remittance notes to suppliers.
  • Review and processing of employee expense claims.
  • Bank and credit card account reconciliations.
  • Updating and maintaining various internal reports and schedules.
  • Support the Operations team in the day-to-day running of the SimoTech office.
  • Data entry and data cleaning on SimoTech’s ERP systems.


  • Accounting Technician or a related qualification.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience with responsibilities including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be quick learner with flexible attitude to work and ability to multitask.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well alone and as part of a team.
